VuWall unites hundreds of AV sources for Simos control centers
The solution of VuWall for centralized video wall management integrates IT and IP systems, ensuring visual content operations 24/7 in this security and mobility control center in Stuttgart (Germany).
Simon houses two independent centers: the one of integrated control (ILS), offering service and support 24/7 for incoming emergency calls from the fire brigade and the Red Cross in Germany, and of traffic control (IVLZ), responsible for traffic management of the city of Stuttgart, from the tunnel surveillance cameras, as well as electronic traffic display systems on main roads.
As part of the Simos modernization project, the German AV specialist Mevis.tv installed the solution VuWall centralized video wall management, specified by the consultant Erben Engineering, which is made up of twelve VuScape drivers, of the VuStream encoders E240 and a application server, all managed by your TRx centralized video system.
Mevis.tv was in charge of the installation of dos videowalls for each of the control centers. The ILS is made up of 48 panels Barco 55” UniSee, while at IVLZ the video wall has been configured with fourteen panels of the same size as the previous one.
Besides, There are fourteen screens in two crisis rooms, with access to the same sources. Although these spaces have different configurations, VuWall system provides a single IP-based video wall processing and management system that connects to a virtual infrastructure.
“There are many parts and pieces to implementing a video wall system for a project of this scale and complexity,” he says. Hans Joachim Spies, founder and CEO of Mevis.tv-. As an integrator, It is essential that everything works together perfectly. The VuWall ecosystem exceeded our standards not only in terms of performance, but also in scalability, flexibility and interoperability”.
VuWall processor and VuStream encoders ensure high quality video streaming distribution through the network, with low latency and high performance, for up to 4:4:4 in 4K broadcasts. Application server provides quick access to websites, dashboards and applications from a single, centralized source without overloading the network.
All of these devices are managed with the TRx video wall centralized management platform., allowing Simos operators to easily control and distribute visual information and data to any display or video wall on the network.
The TRx platform combines the AV distribution over IP and advanced management of multiple video walls and KVM, and is designed to guarantee the operation and safety in distribution projects of several critical centers such as those at Simos..
“We are very proud to see that Simos is taking advantage of modularity, the ease of use and reliability we have built into our ecosystem, fulfilling its objectives with this incredible project - he assures Eric Hénique, vp. VuWall international sales executive-. Operators can see exactly what they need when they need it on the screen of their choice and, at the same time, “They provide the redundancy and low latency that control rooms demand”.
