Hikvision realiza el control de carreras del circuito Ricardo Tormo

The security infrastructure of Hikvision, that has been installed at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste, is made up of cameras that capture every detail of the races; a recording system; and real-time viewing through a video wall and individual control stations.

He Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste (Valencia) has relied on Hikvision to install the race control system. A solution that manages both from a sports perspective, as well as in terms of the physical security of all involved people, mainly drivers and track marshals.

The Hikvision installation is made up of three subsystems. The first of them is the image capture system. The cameras, which are in charge of following the vehicles without losing sight of them at any moment, both on the track and in the pit, and of controlling the track limits to ensure that the drivers do not take illegal advantage in the corners.

The versatility and precision of the cameras (2MP IP PTZ, IP Box of 2 MP, together with the onboard ones found on the cranes and the body cameras that the track marshals can carry) allow obtaining sharp and real-time images from any point of the circuit.

En segundo lugar, all the recording part, with a powerful Hikvision NVR with 128 video inputs and a storage capacity of 16 disk units of up to 10 TB each, que ofrece redundancia y toda la agilidad necesaria para realizar en pocos segundos las comprobaciones que la competición requiera.

Y en tercer lugar, el sistema de visualización. Las pantallas, cuyo componente principal es un videowall de grandes dimensiones, composed of 12 screens of 55 pulgadas LCD, y puestos de control individuales desde los que un operador puede elegir la imagen más adecuada en cada momento, con monitores de 27 inches.

El software que permite manejar todo el sistema y que agiliza la interacción entre todos los elementos que componen la solución es HikCentral, una herramienta muy potente pero, at the same time, muy intuitiva y sencilla de utilizar.

“La particularidad del mundo del motor es la velocidad de los vehículos y la rapidez en la toma de decisiones. Por eso hacen falta equipos tecnológicos de muy alta calidad y que permitan reaccionar rápidamente en cualquier circunstancia. Y Hikvision nos los ha proporcionado”, reconoce Gabriel Berruga, responsable deportivo del circuito Ricardo Tormo de Cheste.

Migración de analógico a digital

Antes de la intervención de Hikvision, las instalaciones contaban con un sistema analógico, lo que hacía necesario un cambio tecnológico, tal y como exigen las federaciones internacionales de deportes de motor. El nuevo equipamiento (integrado por cámaras, engravers, sistemas de pantallas y software de gestión) debía afrontar el reto de la alta definición: perfecta visibilidad de todos los puntos del circuito en todo momento.

“Captar imágenes con la máxima precisión y nitidez de vehículos que circulan a 300 kilómetros por hora ha sido un gran reto. Hemos aprovechado al máximo la sofisticada tecnología de imagen de nuestros equipos y sistemas”, resume David Gómez, director de Desarrollo de Negocio de Hikvision Iberia.
