'Technology with purpose': this is the new CSR program of Hikvision Iberia

Hikvision Iberia subraya su compromiso con la sostenibilidad e impacto social con el lanzamiento de un programa de Responsabilidad Social Corporativa (RSC) titulado “Tecnología con propósito” que tiene por objetivo integrar innovación tecnológica y compromiso social.

La iniciativa busca canalizar la innovación tecnológica de la compañía hacia proyectos que beneficien directamente a la sociedad y al entorno. Ejemplos de esta filosofía se encuentran en el documental realizado en Catarroja, donde la tecnología se utilizó para anticipar riesgos y proteger a la población tras el episodio de la DANA en 2024, y en los Pirineos, donde los sistemas de Hikvision permiten la monitorización meteorológica en condiciones extremas, contributing to the safety of local communities and the scientific study of high mountain areas.

El caso de Catarroja

Dentro del recién creado departamento de RSC de Hikvision, el proyecto de Catarroja se presenta como un caso clave de cómo la innovación tecnológica puede servir directamente a la sociedad. Tras el devastador episodio de DANA, la localidad necesitaba un sistema que anticipara riesgos y protegiera a la población. Hikvision respondió diseñando un ecosistema integral that combines monitoring of water levels, surveillance cameras in critical areas, automatic barriers and loudspeakers, all managed from a centralized control center.

This project not only reflects the company's technological capability, but also that puts people at the center, ensuring that information flows in tiempo real to protect lives and minimize risks. So, Catarroja becomes a tangible example of the new department's objectives: apply technology to generate a positive social impact, integrating innovation, safety and community effectively.
