30 logistics sector security managers have taken part in an exclusive meeting where they were able to discover firsthand Guanlan, an artificial intelligence integrated into cameras and recorders Hikvision which aims to redefine the use of CCTV in logistics facilities.

The offices of Hikvision in Madrid have hosted this practical demonstration driven by the company in collaboration with Pelican_Catchy, an agency specialized in the supply chain. The attendees had the opportunity to interact directly with the technology, using a recorder with real images from a logistics environment to perform advanced searches and check the impact of the tool in everyday scenarios.

Guanlan's advanced capabilities include the recognition of hundreds of thousands of objects within an image, much faster and more accurate searches and identification of people, vehicles, brands, texts and behaviors. Another outstanding feature is search by natural text, which allows operators to perform complex queries in simple language. For example, the system could interpret the command 'Find me people who are smoking and wearing a cap' and automatically return the matching images.

Alfonso Lorenzo, logistics development manager at Hikvision Iberia, states that the company's priority is 'to offer security directors and operations managers tools that not only increase the protection of facilities, but also provide measurable value in daily management'. “La capacidad de realizar búsquedas avanzadas mediante lenguaje natural, identificar comportamientos específicos o localizar objetos concretos en cuestión de segundos supone un cambio cualitativo en la manera de gestionar entornos logísticos de alta exigencia”, remarca.
