By Demes analyzes the capacity of thermal cameras to control Covid-19

Hyundai's thermal devices, Dahua and Airspace help prevent and avoid the spread of this contagious virus, as detailed in this article by Oscar Rubí, director of the engineering and projects department of this company.

The security solutions provider By Demes Group have equipment for measuring body temperature through thermographic cameras of the brands they sell to help fight the pandemic caused by Covid-19, detecting possible cases to avoid its spread.

Portable thermal cameras like those of their Airspace brand allow maintaining social distance, compared to gun thermometers, as they measure temperature at distances ranging between 1 y 4,5 metros, with an accuracy ranging between +/-0,4 and +/-0.5ºC, depending on the model.

Gracias a esto y a la posibilidad de colocar la cámara en un trípode la monitorización en tiempo real puede realizarse manteniendo la distancia de seguridad y, therefore, reduciendo el riesgo.

Las cámaras térmicas fijas de marcas como Hyunday y Dahua comparten algunas características con respecto a las soluciones portátiles Airspace, pero ofrecen mayor distancia de medición (of 2 a 9 metros) y precisión de medición (+/-0,5 a +/-0,3ºC, con BlackBody).

Besides, they have specific artificial intelligence algorithms for the exclusive detection of people, ignoring other heat sources; as well as facial detection of people without a mask and those who are in a scene in multiple numbers (up to thirty) and instantaneously.

These dual-technology thermal cameras have different modes of visualization and management (web server, dedicated software or recording equipment), along with the possibility of monitoring and controlling multiple devices from a control center.
