To meet the requirements of the angle of inclination that was required, SD59220T-HN cameras were customized and expanded to support a 220-degree range, providing improved coverage, IR capabilities for night vision, as well as a 20x optical zoom. Also, videowall has been installed in access and transport data centers to provide continuous monitoring of base stations.

Increasing Internet coverage in Peru required the construction of multiple base stations in regions with rugged terrain and limited access to electricity.. To achieve uninterrupted operation of these remote locations, a solution was needed to ensure their security..

The areas to be covered were the regions of Ayacucho, Apurimac and Huancavalica where they have been installed 1.330 new access and transport communication base stations. And for their safety they needed a video surveillance system that had an angle of inclination of 220 grades to protect expensive material. It also had to be able to monitor the equipment frequently to ensure uniform operation and avoid breakdowns..

The management and storage system Dahua DSS7016D, along with adequate camera coverage and a monitoring system, were the ideal combination for this project.

Dahua base station PeruThe solution also had to respond to another energy problem.. Only 48V was provided to these regions, unlike the 110V and 220V power grids that are commonly seen around the world. In order to supply electricity properly to the components of the security system, had to build a customized solution that would overcome this barrier.

As Dahua products support standard 110V and 220V power inputs, converters were needed to provide support for 48V local input.

For PTZ and IP cameras, a special 48V PoE switch was installed, while a custom power supply was created for the NVR4204-P network video recorders.

To meet the requirements of the angle of inclination that was required, SD59220T-HN PTZ cameras were customized and expanded to support a 220° range, providing improved coverage, IR capabilities for night vision, as well as a 20x optical zoom.

Some base stations were equipped with outdoor PTZ cameras and indoor bullet cameras connected with PoE switches, while in other access base stations and all transport stations PTZ cameras were installed, both inside and outside.

Dahua SD59220T-HNIn the capital of each region, Dahua videowall was implanted in configuration of 2×3 with screens of 55 Inch (DHL550UCM) in access and transport data centers to provide continuous monitoring of base stations, with video encoding and output via the DH-M70-4U multi-service video management platform, that admits up to 48 4TB HDD devices for high storage capacity.

DSS Management Platform appliances were installed to provide advanced surveillance management capabilities, live monitoring and playback.

With real-time monitoring of communications stations located in remote areas, network administrators have the ability to direct labor elsewhere, saving on costs related to the supervision and inspection of station equipment, as maintenance checks are scheduled more efficiently.
