The 150 elected representatives in this legislative institution now benefit from the new CCTV surveillance system, composed of more than a hundred Easy and Smart IP series cameras and 64 channels from this manufacturer.

Hikvision Parliament of Jordan

The Hascheite Kingdom of Jordan, with parliamentary democracy in the Middle East, account in your parliament with 150 representative members. As in other legislatures around the world, when it's in session, the camera records intense activity from its own members, advisers and officials, foreign dignitaries, Visitors, Etc.

One of the problems was ensuring the safety of all people and the institution, because cctv needed a complete and rapid modernization, but that it did not interfere with institutional activity and that it was in line with the budget.

The manufacturer Hikvision was chosen to design and deploy cctv's new video surveillance system, with a solution consisting of a hundred network cameras of nine different models of this provider's Easy and Smart IP series connected to four DVRs of 64 canals located in the building's control room.

Hikvision 6MP Smart IPAmmar Awamleh, IT director at the Jordanian House of Representatives, explains that "despite budgetary constraints, the solution offers a high level of coverage of the main building and all its land and entrances, absolutely key requirements. We have made extensive use of IP cameras 1,3 And 3 Hikvision MP in order to achieve this goal".

Specifically,, nearly a hundred cameras have been deployed, mostly the easy outdoor network mini dome models DS-2CD2312-I and DS-2CD2332-I and the building vault, complemented by nine Exir bullet type DS-2CD2212-I5 and DS-2CD2232-I5 systems.

"The mini domes for the vault were a perfect choice," says Awamleh., because they fit discreetly while offering day/night functionality with IR range 30m, IP66 and 3D DNR protection, as well as programmable backlight compensation for excellent video quality. For difficult light conditions we choose Exir bullet cameras that are a real asset with extension to 50 meters".

Parliament of JordanCameras from the Smart IP range have also been installed 4 Hikvision to protect individually selected key infrastructure points. "We realized that smart features, as facial recognition, motion detection, Audio, Etc. would be of great help to our control room staff in potential threat control, stresses this manager.. Smart codec and Smart IR and Smart VQD technology (video quality detection) are invaluable in areas where visual quality is of vital importance".

A highlight of this project for Awamleh has been the installation of smart box IP cameras 6 Megapixel (model DS-2CD4065F), "five of which were deployed to provide critical coverage in the main hall of parliament, capable of providing three separate video streams with excellent digital zoom".

Control room

Hikvision DS-9616NI-STOperating in an interrupted manner, this institution's control room has powerful i7 computers to access Hikvision's four NVRs (model DS-9664NI XT), each of the 64 Channels, who use this manufacturer's iVMS-4200 video management suite.

“These NVRs were chosen to fully support the resolution of 6 MP from Smart IP cameras, with a maximum of 256 Connections, gives us room for further expansion. In addition, iVMS-4200 provides us with a powerful and complete solution for intelligent and open video management to freely access the huge amount of video data we now have, with simple handling, with total control that has made life much easier for the security team", specifies Awamleh.

During the implementation of the project, Jordan's Parliament's activity has not been disrupted, while "we were limited to working only three hours a day and the team was under pressure to plan and run the system. It was quite a challenge., as well as the design and coverage of the CCTV system of the vital areas of the building, including several key offices, the data center, as well as the perimeter, that has been successfully achieved".
