Synology optimiza la gestión de vídeo con la disponibilidad oficial de Surveillance Station 7.1
This new video surveillance solution from the company allows you to optimize video management thanks to the integration of the real-time streaming protocol RTSP, to multicasting and the alert system that incorporates.
After passing all tests and beta version (more data in Digital Security Magazine), the manufacturer Synology has officially presented Surveillance Station 7.1, which has a more careful and efficient design and includes the RTSP protocol, offers multicast support and provides enhanced alerts and notifications to improve video management.
Chad Chiang, product manager de Synology, explains that “when working on this new version, We have focused on improving the mechanics and performance of Surveillance Station, as well as developing compatibility with the Onvif protocol, with the aim of offering our clients the best video surveillance solution that, in turn, be very easy to use. We want to thank the users who have invested their time testing the beta version and working with Synology to ensure a better and more secure video surveillance solution.”.
Among the new features and benefits of Surveillance Station 7.1 highlights RTSP support, which increases the performance of streaming video transmission, providing a smoother experience when viewing on Surveillance Station or DS cam (for iOS devices). Besides, Developers can take advantage of RTSP support to integrate video streaming into third-party systems.
Another benefit of improving bandwidth efficiency when there are numerous usage scenarios is multicasting., as it reduces workload and bandwidth consumption when running Surveillance Station in environments where multiple clients are viewing or monitoring video channels or different workstations at the same time and live.
Synology Surveillance Station 7.1 It also has advanced live view alerts and notifications that improve security system management. In large-scale surveillance deployments, with hundreds of cameras, monitoring each of them can be inefficient. Live View Analytics alerts from cameras that are not included in Live View are also displayed. Besides, Events can be highlighted directly on an e-map, so that users can see the camera and the location of these suspicious events immediately.
This new version also increases the speed at which recordings and event information are transferred from servers, thanks to the improvement of the database structure and the addition of multiple dedicated links between the main server and the recording servers. Besides, Renewed license management improves stability in CMS usage.
Finally, Improved Onvif support provides greater flexibility, since Surveillance Station already offered a native integration for source recording on certain camera models, now and thanks to Onvif Profile G, offers source recording support on many more models.
This new standard includes more options for cameras that have rotation and focus. Onvif Search support makes it easier to find and add Onvif cameras to Surveillance Station 7.1 and that the installation of the video surveillance system is more flexible and simple.
Available for free download from Synology Package Center, the version 7.1 includes two camera licenses at no additional cost for a large number of compatible devices from the company.
