Hikvision protects Argentina's new railway network with its video surveillance and control systems

As part of the comprehensive project to renovate Argentina's railway network, the authorities of this country have chosen the security device manufacturer Hikvision as a technological partner for the implementation of the real-time video surveillance and control system for this transport infrastructure.

The Chinese manufacturer Hikvision has been chosen by the Argentine Government as a technological partner for the supply and deployment of the real-time video surveillance and control system of the renovated railway network in this country and the new tracks.

The Argentine railway network has had, since its modernization, completed a few months ago, con dispositivos de diversos tipos (fijos y domos antivandálicos de interior y exterior, day/night) de este fabricante que se gestionan y controlan desde el nuevo centro de monitorización de transporte en tiempo real para conocer el estado de toda la infraestructura.

Desde este centro de control, inaugurado recientemente por la presidenta de Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, también se monitorizan en tiempo real todas y cada una de las cámaras desplegadas, así como las imágenes (del interior y exterior de las estaciones y viales), los indicadores y control de velocidad de los trenes, incluida su posición GPS; estado de la red, etc.

Este ha sido uno de los proyectos de infraestructura más complejos e importantes realizados por Hikvision con su plataforma tecnológica de seguridad que además ofrece la posibilidad de seguir implementando a futuro nuevas aplicaciones y elementos de seguridad en toda la red ferroviaria argentina.
