Avigilon LightCatcher Technology, detailed security in dark environments

Avigilon has unveiled the LightCatcher technology that provides a way to capture color details in low-light environments.

The new technology of Avigilon it is called LightCatcher, with which it is possible to identify objects of interest in difficult lighting situations such as restaurants, bares, hotels, parking lots and narrow streets.

“Capturing color details, regardless of lighting conditions, is a major concern in the security environment. Being able to identify the color of a vehicle or a suspect's clothing can make the difference in an investigation “, explains Ian Povey, Marketing and Product Management Director at Avigilon.

By increasing the amount of light and detail captured through the camera and reducing image noise, la tecnología LightCatcher produce significativamente más detalle en color de una escena con poca luz que cualquier otra tecnología. Esta combinación revierte en la capacidad de identificar objetos de interés con mayor eficacia .

Las cámaras Avigilon con tecnología LightCatcher integrarán 1,3 megapixels, filtro IR extraíble, alimentación a través de Ethernet con entrada de alimentación de 24 VDC o 12 VAC e I/O de audio. Serán compatibles con ONVIF y tendrán total compatibilidad con el software Avigilon Control Center.
