This hospital group strives to provide optimal clinical care while operating efficiently and ensuring safety. Implementing Safe Hospitals from Motorola Solutions was the answer to their security problems.
It is a platform that integrates voice, video, data, and analytics to manage the environment of healthcare institutions. This is combined with command center software, access control, and critical communication devices to proactively meet the complex security and communication needs of a hospital. Besides, es capaz de detectar, to examine and transmit alerts for potential issues.
Also part of this ecosystem are the video surveillance cameras from Avigilon that incorporate remote management and recognition with Artificial Intelligence.
With all these features, SSM Health considered that this ecosystem of integrated solutions was a new approach to security and communications, that was a game-changer, since it allowed them to address situations proactively, making security more efficient and effective.
With the Safe Hospitals ecosystem, SSM Health has completely renewed the way of securing its campuses and facilities. By integrating pieces of security and communication technology that were previously separate into a seamless integrated ecosystem, it not only has better security, but also achieves better clinical care, higher patient satisfaction, more efficient operations and a safer workplace.
“We went from having an outdated VMS, an ineffective access control and insufficient alarm capability to the opposite. Now our staff feel safer because they have adequate resources to do their job professionally”, comments Todd Miller, Regional Director of Security at SSM Health.
The project began to be implemented at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, which has a set of technologies including cameras, video analytics, video management software Control Center y Access Control Manager from Avigilon.
Based on the results obtained, the platform has been extended to all its regional hospitals in Missouri and Illinois.
