Claranet trusts Mobotix technology for the security of its Lisbon data center

The Portuguese subsidiary of the managed services provider Claranet has turned to the German manufacturer of high-definition IP video systems, Mobotix AG, to install a video surveillance system in its Lisbon data center.

The manufacturer of high-definition IP video systems, Mobotix, has been the chosen provider by Claranet Portugal to monitor its Lisbon data center by video. Claranet is a managed services provider company specialized in network communications, internet and hosting services. Its Lisbon data center is a space of 250 metros cuadrados totalmente acondicionado para el almacenamiento de sistemas de información. To ensure the security and availability of information, they have mechanisms against fires, floods and intruders. Pero Claranet quería ir más allá y poder visualizar en tiempo real lo que sucedía en el interior del centro de datos.

Optivisus, the only Mobotix partner in Portugal, has been the company implementing the security system which is based on Mobotix technology, in the camera tandems – ExtIO. They have installed several D24 FixDome model cameras which offer multiple application possibilities thanks to interchangeable lenses and various installation and equipment options.

They also incorporated the ExtIO module into the cameras, que se puede conectar a las cámaras directamente a través de USB o por red y que aporta a las cámaras Mobotix una potente unidad de sonido con micrófono y altavoz, un detector de movimiento por infrarrojos, un sensor de temperatura y contactos de entrada y salida adicionales. En combinación con las dos teclas luminosas también pueden implementarse fácilmente instalaciones de abre puertas y de interfono.
