Synology presenta VisualStation VS240HD

The NAS product developer (Network Attached Storage) high performance, Synology, has announced the launch of the new VisualStation VS240HD, a high-performance surveillance solution created to facilitate the viewing of multiple live channels and playback in surveillance installations with the ability to connect up to 24 high-definition IP cameras.

Synology has launched VisualStation VS240HD, a cost-effective surveillance solution designed to facilitate the viewing of multiple channels on HDMI screens. The VS240HD features powerful image decoding capability that supports up to 24 simultaneous display channels at 240 FPS in 720p. The two HDMI video outputs make it an ideal surveillance solution for large-scale use, which allows users to broadcast high-quality streams on different screens in a state-of-the-art security center.

Chad Jiang, product manager of Synology, has commented: VS240HD is an affordable and compact device intended for real-time monitoring. It does not require a PC and allows savings on electricity bills, as it consumes only 14,4 watts in full operation and at the same time its design saves space.

Together with Synology DiskStation or RackStation, the VS240HD allows real-time viewing of MJPEG compression formats, MPEG4, y H.264, including audio. Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras (PTZ) are also prepared for comprehensive monitoring and tracking of objects.
