La solución de videovigilancia de Sony “da sus frutos”
Saba Frukt & Grönt AB, un mayorista sueco de frutas y verduras, ha apostado por la tecnología de videovigilancia de Sony para mejorar la seguridad de sus instalaciones de almacenamiento.
Cuando Saba Frukt & Grönt AB, una empresa escandinava dedicada a la importación y distribución de frutas, verduras y flores, buscó agilizar y optimizar su actual configuración de seguridad y, at the same time, incorporar las últimas tecnologías, recurrieron a Sony para obtener una solución híbrida rentable. Cada año pasan aproximadamente 210.000.000 kg. de frutas y verduras de más de 70 países por el almacén central de esta empresa, ubicado a las afueras de Helsingborg (Suecia).
La solución de seguridad anterior era analógica. Replacing all system components with IP-based products would have been a costly investment. Instead, Saba contacted Daniel Ahlberg, a specialist in comprehensive video surveillance solutions at the company DCC Övervakningsteknik, in Helsingborg.
Sony Solution
The Sony Professional solution interested Saba and DCC Övervakningsteknik. Daniel Ahlberg commented: “It wasn’t just the image quality that influenced our decision. A hybrid solution offers a flexible and cost-effective transition to IP technology, since existing analog components can be integrated into the new system. In addition, we were able to develop and test our specific solution at Sony’s test center”.

Clas Carlsson, responsible for the buildings and security of Saba Frukt & Grönt AB, has explained: “To certify that we offer high quality in the deliveries that we guarantee to our customers, even the handling of the products is protected. Our business has grown in recent years, which means that more products, people and vehicles move through our facilities. Therefore, we decided to invest in a new video surveillance solution that would strengthen security in all parts of our business”.

For your part, Daniel Silverklang, Logistics Director of Saba Frukt & Grönt AB, has pointed: “Thanks to the network cameras and intelligent software, we obtain immediate information about incidents that occur in our facilities, tanto sobre los que están sucediendo como sobre los que han sucedido con anterioridad. Podemos identificar y registrar el espacio libre en la sala de almacenamiento e informar automáticamente a sus responsables. Hemos realizado importantes mejoras en nuestra eficacia gracias a la solución híbrida. Además de una mejora de la seguridad, nos ha ayudado a reducir costes”.
