EV76C660 and EV76C661,, new CMOS image sensors from 1.3 MP by e2v

The high-performance imaging solutions provider, e2v, offers two new devices within its Ruby family of CMOS image sensors, the EV76C660 and the EV76C661, intended for night vision cameras and traffic control systems.

e2v, company represented in Spain by Anatronic, has announced two new devices in its Ruby family of CMOS image sensors. The EV76C660 and EV76C661 models from 1.3 MP offer sensitivity that goes beyond what was until recently considered 'possible' in traditional front-side illuminated sensors, with an extended wavelength range.

The new Ruby sensors, which are a version of e2v's Sapphire range, feature a pixel size of 5.3 µm, Quantum Efficiency (QE) over eighty percent and excellent sensitivity in the near-infrared spectrum (more than fifty percent at 850 nm). Both devices help reduce system lighting costs and provide outstanding performance for outdoor cameras in low-light environments.

With the same package, output pins and software interface as the Sapphire family, the new products from Anatronic's representative provide a complete solution with a single hardware and software development.
