Schneider France

Schneider Electric begins the complete modernization of its video surveillance systems in France through the unified platform Genetec Security Center and its Omnicast video management solution, with the aim of having an open infrastructure, scalable and prepared for future technological developments.

The company, which operates a hundred centers in France, decided to replace its old proprietary system with a interoperable solution capable of adapting to very different environments, from commercial offices to critical industrial facilities. Your physical security partner's recommendation, Fiducial, led to the selection of Genetec as an authorized supplier at the corporate level.

The migration, started in 2018, progresses gradually, prioritizing industrial sites. The centers integrate interior chambers, exterior and thermal, as well as intrusion panels connected to Genetec Security Center and the Mission Control incident management, allowing for faster and more coordinated responses. Thanks to the Federation function, all systems are monitored from a central station, optimizing incident verification and collaboration between teams.

Expand the Genetec ecosystem

In the next two years, Schneider Electric plans to complete the implementation in all French centers, renew devices and expand the Genetec ecosystem with technologies such as automatic license plate recognition (AutoVu), integrated intercom (Sipelia) and future cloud-based capabilities with Security Center SaaS.

Jimmy Savoy, security director for France at Schneider Electric, states that “End users especially appreciate the intuitive Genetec interface, the ease of use and the ability of the solution to adapt to each type of site”.

Finally, Note that Genetec Security Center is already used or is being implemented in almost the half of the French facilities Schneider Electric. This is a key step in the enterprise security modernization. Employees praise the intuitive interface of the solution, its simplified operation and its adaptability to all types of environments. The platform is now the company's standard for video surveillance in France and will allow the integration of new technologies such as intercoms, RAPI and access control in the coming years.
