Axis shows its security ecosystem in Barcelona

The digital transformation, casos prácticos y la ciberseguridad han sido las grandes tendencias que han centrado el debate durante la primera edición de los Axis Days en Barcelona, que seguirán en Oporto y La Coruña.

Axis ha celebrado en Barcelona su primer encuentro Axis Days con integradores, distribuidores y clientes para analizar las tendencias del sector de seguridad, “que se ha convertido en una prioridad estratégica para empresas y administraciones. La transformación digital se consolida como la herramienta clave para elevar los niveles de protección, eficiencia y resiliencia operativa de las infraestructuras”.

Durante esta jornada de Axis Days, se han analizado las tendencias del sector y se han puesto en valor casos de éxito que ejemplifican el impacto de la videovigilancia inteligente in public security.

In this context, Alberto Alonso, solutions engineer Southern Europe at deAxis, highlighted in his presentation the tools that the company has developed to secure systems, as the hardware-based platform Edge Vault, that guarantees the integrity of devices and allows secure execution of operations thanks to cryptographic keys; the firmware; the signed video and Axis Device Manager, that applies certified HTTPS and IEEE 802.1x protocols.

For your part, Ricardo Marranita, business development manager at Axis, focused his presentation on digital transformation and how technology can change the way companies in different sectors operate, both in the field of security and in terms of efficiency and savings.

Success stories

In this context, the company showed different use cases in industries (airport-related, logistics, aquifer, etc.), that face common challenges in many aspects related to their operations, including inefficiency in security processes.

Dídac Hoflich, responsable de proyectos de infraestructuras TIC del Port of Barcelona, y Javier Blanco, key account manager de Axis en esta zona, presentaron el proyecto de modernización del sistema de videovigilancia y seguridad de esta importante infraestructura portuaria.

Consolidado como el centro logístico de referencia en el Mediterráneo, cada año pasan por las instalaciones del Puerto de Barcelona setenta millones de toneladas de mercancías y más de cinco millones de pasajeros.

Aunque ya se contaba con un sistema de seguridad, era necesario actualizarlo para que la Autoridad Portuaria pudiera realizar una supervisión óptima de toda la instalación, tomar mejores decisiones en tiempo real y evitar riesgos para la seguridad y la operatividad, for which ‘the analytical capabilities provided by Axis have been decisive’.

Besides, Edgar Romeo, IT director of RCT Cables, explained how this company decided to improve the security of its facilities to protect its workers against the increase in incidents caused by the rise in copper prices, for which it has deployed Axis video surveillance solutions that provide them with advanced monitoring, prevention and response.

The meeting also included the participation of Local Police of Sant Cugat del Vallès, which collaborates with Axis to ensure the day-to-day citizen security of this city in Barcelona

Innovation and AI

Guillermo Lopez, sales engineer, y Alfonso Allende, inside sales account manager for the Barcelona area, they presented in detail to the attendees the company's latest technological innovations.

Among them are notable Artpec-9, the ninth generation of Axis's SoC system, specifically designed for high-quality network video; las new PTRZ cameras and the latest model térmico of the company.
