LDA Audio Tech adds a microcontroller to the ONE evacuation system 500

El sistema EN 54 the ONE public address and voice evacuation system 500 of LDA Audio Tech has been redesigned to incorporate a new microcontroller “which opens the doors to the functionalities that will soon be integrated by the Spanish manufacturer”.

From LDA Audio Tech they indicate that the update of ONE v3 has been accelerated due to problems in the supply of the chip used until now, resulting from the supply incidents that have affected the global production chain in recent months.

'Given this urgent situation',, the R&D product team of LDA Audio Tech has managed to adapt in record time and find an alternative that is not only viable but improved, which prepares ONE 500 to continue evolving for the future'.

This version is being applied immediately to the new equipment coming out of the factory, like the ONE model 500 v3, con new control board and microcontroller. The system maintains its dual certification IN 54-16 and IN 54-4, according to the international standard for fire protection.

With this new chip, the ONE unit from LDA Audio Tech is preparing for future evolutions that will include an EN-certified PTT microphone 54; a switching amplifier, multi-language support and firmware improvements, among others.

ONE v3 will also represent a step forward in sustainability, as it incorporates new packaging that reduces the disposable materials used 'and becomes the first LDA Audio Tech unit without a printed manual', explain the manufacturer.

In this regard, los equipos solo incluirán una hoja con la información obligatoria de marcado y seguridad eléctrica, remitiendo a la web de LDA Audio Tech para la descarga del manual y la documentación técnica en formato digital.

Desde la compañía explican que la actualización de ONE v3 conlleva algunos cambios a nivel técnico, como en el caso de las reparaciones, manteniendo la continuidad en los componentes. “Dada la robustez del sistema, es muy poco habitual la sustitución de placas. En caso de ser necesaria, las unidades con versiones anteriores podrán actualizarse a la v3 a través del equipo de soporte técnico”.

En cuanto a los accesorios, la compañía ha diseñado una nueva serie de tarjetas para el módulo de comunicación ONE Loop para adaptarse a la nueva versión. Besides, el firmware de ONE v3 es compatible con las versiones anteriores en lo que respecta a los sistemas ONE configurados con Loop para evitar problemas de compatibilidad entre equipos.
