Madring begins its journey in F1 with the voice evacuation system by LDA Audio Tech
The Spanish manufacturer LDA Audio Tech designs and implements Madring's emergency loudspeaker infrastructure, integrating circuit, stands, pavilions, Fan Zones and Hospitality areas under a single architecture
LDA Audio Tech has been responsible for the design and implementation of the voice evacuation system of the Madring International Circuit, the new Madrid track that hosted the first Spanish Grand Prix of Formula 1 1 held in the capital. The project had to address, in less than two months, the emergency communication needs of a venue with a capacity for 120.000 people per day and a particularly complex configuration.
Madring brings together in the same environment the competition circuit, stands, exhibition halls, Fan Zones and different Hospitality areas. Each of these areas previously had its own audio systems, so one of the main challenges of the project consisted of integrating them into a common voice evacuation architecture, while at the same time coexisting with the race audio system operated by the FIA.
The installation was carried out during the summer with an opening date linked to the Formula calendar 1 which did not allow for delays. LDA Audio Tech worked together with the integrators Ruybesa y DZ Engineering to complete the deployment and put the system into service within the established timeframe.
15 connected audio islands
The solution is based on the platform NEO+ from LDA Audio Tech and is structured in 15 islands connected by Nexo Hub, with distribution and synchronization of digital audio through AES67.
The island corresponding to the circuit constitutes the largest core of the facility. In it they have been deployed 59 NEO-4500E+ extensions, distributed in 20 racks along the route, along with 456 Biamp Community speakers intended to cover the stands. This architecture allows centralizing the management of emergency messages and ensures their distribution throughout the different areas of the complex, despite the diversity of existing spaces and audio systems.
Beyond the technical dimension, The project required coordinating a critical security infrastructure with a particularly tight assembly schedule. The integration of the different systems made it possible to have a common platform for voice evacuation without interfering with the audio operations associated with the competition.
LDA Audio Tech's participation in Madring also represents the continuation of the Spanish company's presence in this sporting field. Its technology was already present at the urban circuit of Valencia, where the voice evacuation system bore the company's mark during the first two editions of the European Grand Prix of Formula 1, held in 2008 y 2009.
