Kigali Airport renews public address and voice evacuation system with LDA Audio Tech
A centralized NEO system has been installed, consisting of NEO-8060 and NEO-Extension units 8250, MP-8Z microphone stations with MPS-8K expansion keyboards, ZES-22 digital matrices and VAP-1 alarm panels.
Strategic point for the entire East African region, he Kigali International Airport also known as Kanombe and is the main airport of Rwanda. In addition to being the main gateway to the country, it also handles high air traffic to the neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo.
This airport has renovated its entire public address and voice evacuation system to offer better service and safety to its passengers. For this, it has used EN-certified systems 54 of LDA Audio Tech among which are the NEO-8060 and NEO-Extension systems 8250, the MP-8Z microphone stations with MPS-8K expansion keyboards, ZES-22 digital matrices and VAP-1 alarm panels.
The centralized NEO system allows control of the installation and phased evacuation by zones in case of emergency; while the microphone stations can be monitored and configured remotely for selection, self-locking and voice recording, as well as events with system functions such as pre-recorded messages and preset loading.
The matrices offer optimal performance when transmitting audio via high-quality Cobranet, with DSP and four audio inputs or outputs to use different configurations (2×2, 1×3, 3×1, etc.).

La infraestructura también cuenta la plataforma de software NEO Control, autoinstalable y sin base de datos para gestionar y supervisar el sistema NEO instalado.
Asimismo también se cuenta con baterías EQ-241994 de 120 Ah @ 12 V, de alta fiabilidad y calidad para sistemas de emergencia y protección contra incendios, with more than 500 ciclos de carga y descarga y más de 10 años de vida útil; cargadores EQ-241977, ajustados a la normativa EN 54-4 y con una potencia máxima de 3600 W, para baterías de plomo-ácido y 6 salidas de carga; y armarios Rack-22ALT multiusos con cuatro perfiles de 19” desplazables, paneles laterales accesibles y puerta frontal con cristal de seguridad.
