Vivotek unveils its first license plate recognition camera, IB9387-LPR
With the built-in license plate recognition software and edge-computing capability,, it can identify more than 70 countries around the world.
The IB9387-LPR model has been introduced as the first license plate recognition camera (LPR) of Vivotek. An 'all-in-one' device ideal for use in parking access control and toll systems.
With the built-in license plate recognition software and edge-computing capability without additional server, this camera can identify more than 70 countries around the world.
This Vivotek device also offers efficient access control management through white and blacklists and centralized maintenance of multi-site cameras.
With a blacklist and whitelist embedded within the IB9387-LPR camera, the control barrier opens the gate when a vehicle on the whitelist is detected; while if it is on the blacklist, an alarm will be triggered and a notification will be sent to security personnel.
With this solution, security staff at parking lots with multiple entry points no longer need to update the system one by one. They can simply upload these lists to a single centralized LPR camera, and all others will download the master list, reducing installation time and maintenance efforts.
