SICE to supply communications and security systems for Finch West LRT in Canada
Mosaic Transit Group has subcontracted this technology company to supply the communications systems, CCTV, access control, intrusion, etc. for this Toronto light rail project.
The public-private partnership Metrolinx e Infrastructure Ontario has selected, through a competitive process, a Mosaic Transit Group to design, build, finance and maintain Toronto's Finch West LRT project for thirty years, which includes a line of 11 Km of travel, with eighteen stops and garages.
This company has subcontracted to THOUGH to provide the communications network, telephony, intercom, megaphony, radio Tetra, closed circuit television cctv, Scada, alarm center, chronometry, access and intrusion control, as well as road intrusion detection systems, passenger information and advertising.
The light rail project (LRT) by Finch West is underway right now, with major construction scheduled for spring 2019, in which the old infrastructure will also be renewed.
This light rail project will provide 11 additional kilometers and 18 public transport stops (including the 16 aboveground and an underground interchange station at the Finch West commuter rail station, that connects with the new extension of the Toronto-York-Spadina subway), along with an underground stop at Humber College with transit connections to other areas.
Besides, SICE is also currently working on the provision of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT communications network. Both projects consolidate the position of this company in the North American railway market.
