Sony SNC-VB770: new 4K network camera with sensitivity of less than 0,004 lux
This ultra high resolution model (UHD) combines sensitivity of less than 0,0044 lux and color for a wide variety of commercial security applications and is compatible with various interchangeable E-mount lenses.
The new 4K network camera from Sony SNC-VB770 offers the highest level of sensitivity in its class yet, with less than 0,004 lux, according to ISO standard 409600, which combines with advanced 4K resolution and networking capabilities to give video professionals more flexibility in capturing details, even in extreme light situations.
Sony SNC-VB770 achieves high levels of resolution and sensitivity, plus a low noise level, thanks to its image processing and full frame Exmor sensor of 35 mm; all developed by this manufacturer.
Sensor captures significantly more light and with lower noise than conventional camera sensors to deliver radically improved sensitivity, The result is high-quality, high-performance images in environments that are almost completely dark., beyond what the human eye can see.
This new camera is compatible with Sony's high-performance E-mount lens series, which includes a wide variety of options: from wide angle to telephoto, Optimized to maximize full-frame sensor performance 35 mm, allowing high resolution to be maintained across the entire image area, from the center to the periphery of the target.
Thanks to this sensor, Integration with video capture applications is easy, as surveillance of urban areas, transport, ports or important infrastructure, as well as for nature studies or scientific applications.
Roger Lawrence, Head of Video Surveillance Products at Sony Europe, explains that “SNC-VB770 builds on the strengths of Sony's image sensor, and this experience applies to the field of commercial video capture. Low lighting situations do not only occur at night, sino 24/7, in museums, zoos and any municipal or commercial area. “This new camera and our growing range of 4K network models provide users with more options to meet their content capture needs.”.
Thanks to the optimal level of detail of 4K technology, security professionals, For example, can expand their surveillance area, take snapshots and examine even the smallest details of an image, like a face or a car license plate, all with a single camera.
The SNC-VB770 uses zone-specific noise reduction technology to selectively divide images into different areas., based on patterns (like edges, textures and areas of homogeneous color, like the blue sky), while detail reproduction technology further improves image quality.
The camera's smart crop feature allows users to capture a full view while cropping images to their native 4K resolution., working with several images at the same time and with three or five simultaneous video streams. This function offers two modes: static, to view multiple specific areas in a scene or capture an overall image and details of cropped areas at the same time, and dynamic mode, which uses smart motion to detect, automatically crop and track moving objects.
Intelligent scene capture function automatically adjusts and adapts image quality (brightness and color) depending on the time, weather and lighting conditions. Sony SNC-VB770 also allows users to customize default image parameters to define the best settings. Multiple settings can be saved and changed to any of them manually (via Picture Profile mode) or according to an established schedule (Picture Profile planner) to ensure the best image quality, both day and night.
The new SNC-VB770 camera will be available in Europe in the summer of 2016 and the company invites its partners to register from here to attend a product introduction webinar next Thursday 14 April, at 13:00 h (GMT) and for more information.
