Muranów District, in the center of Warsaw's Old Jewish Quarter, houses the Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews, which has become a prestigious facility worldwide both for its unique architecture, symbol of the new image of the capital, as for the interest it generates in visitors to show the thousand years of history of Polish Jews.

The location of this museum has not been the result of chance. Before World War II, in this place was the neighborhood occupied by the Jewish population and on its road, after the creation of the ghetto, was the building that was the headquarters of the Judenrat: the Jewish governing council established by the German authorities. After the repression of the ghetto uprising, the Germans created here the concentration camp known as 'Gesiówka'.

However, this place has been inscribed in the annals of history not only for the tragic events related to the war. In the year 1970 and before the Monument to the Heroes of the Ghetto, which is located exactly in front of the current museum, FRG Chancellor Willi Brandt knelt down, in a historic gesture that was interpreted as a symbolic apology from the German people in the face of the Holocaust. Now, this modern and unique museum tries to give a new image to this place, as a space for dialogue and understanding.

The design and construction project of the building was chosen through an international competition, which was awarded to a team of Finnish architects, that structured it with a great symbolic content. Its homogeneous glass façade is crossed by a slit that refers to the biblical crossing of the Red Sea by the Israelites, and in whose translucent panels the Hebrew and Latin letters have been integrated, arranged in such a way that they form the word 'Polin', with a double meaning: Poland and also 'here you will rest'.

With these characteristics of combining history and innovation, those responsible for the museum have not doubted that the protection and security system of this facility and its assets followed the same line, with a personalized and integral project based on the technology of Bosch Security Systems.

The security solution deployed includes the installation of fire detection systems, evacuation, Intrusion, access control and video surveillance, designed for strict security requirements, particularly from law enforcement authorities, which can be expanded and updated if requirements and needs change in the future.

For the installation of the fire-fighting system, Elektroprojekt, partner in this country of Bosch, selected the modular panels, operating with smart smoke detectors, and Series remote keyboards 5000 from this manufacturer, which has been integrated with the Praesideo evacuation, which allows the automatic distribution of four different evacuation messages in specific parts of the building.

In order to ensure optimal intelligibility in an acoustically difficult environment with high ceilings, Bosch ran a series of simulations in the rooms before planning the sound system.. Depending on the location, five different types of speakers were used, Including, column speakers and ceiling speakers.

For the detection of intruders, a modular Alarm platform is used 5000, with seven hundred intrusion detectors to secure administrative and office areas, as well as the museum's collection. Other areas, non-public, they are also guaranteed by an access control system with AMC controllers and 190 card readers.

Video surveillance in the museum is based on multiple network cameras, including the device with Starlight technology, capable of delivering high-quality images even in extreme low-light conditions and regardless of the movement of objects, that are managed with Bosch Video Management (BVMS). To manage and manage the aid to the large volumes of information generated by this solution, Video Recording Manager is used (Vrm), since it supports both load balancing avoiding failures in the recordings of the cameras.

All the security and protection systems of this museum are based on IP technology and are integrated through the Bosch Building Integration System (Bis), enabling centralized operations and alarm management.
