The transaction covers the video business units, access and intrusion and communication comprising the division of Bosch Building Technologies. The 4.300 employees of these units of more than 90 locations around the world will be absorbed by Triton.

Bosch has sold its product business Security and communications technology belonging to its division Building Technologies to the European investment firm Triton.

The transaction covers the video units, Access and intrusion and communication; I mean, the entire Bosch Building Technologies product business that was put up for sale.

The 4.300 employees of these units, that are found in more than 90 Locations Worldwide, will be absorbed. It has been agreed that the purchase price and other details of the purchase agreement will not be disclosed. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. It is expected to close by the end of the first half of 2025.

In October 2023, Bosch announced that, as part of the restructuring of its Building Technologies division, would sell most of the division's product business.

“Our goal was to find a suitable buyer that would acquire the three security and communications technology business units and offer its associates a forward-looking perspective. We have achieved that goal. Triton has presented a sustainable and credible growth strategy for the business. As part of its restructuring, the Bosch Building Technologies division is focus on your regional integration business, with solutions and services for building security, energy efficiency and automation of the same. Bosch Building Technologies' goal is to become a global benchmark in systems integration and to take advantage of growth opportunities in this segment. The product business with fire alarm systems will merge with the integration business and continue.

After the transaction, Bosch Building Technologies will have approximately 8.000 employees in eight countries. As a product-independent system integrator with a wide range of energy and building solutions, The division aims to benefit in the future from digitalization and growing customer demand for integrated solutions, intelligent and multidisciplinary in the areas of security, Energy efficiency and building automation.
