Vivotek updates iViewer for remote management of video surveillance solutions from mobile terminals

The new version of iViewer incorporates new features that make it easy to operate from iOS terminals 8 and Android 4.0 and optimizes remote monitoring.

Vivotek has updated its iViewer app by incorporating new features to optimize its use with iOS 8 and Android 4.0, in addition to making it easier to use. This app allows the user to remotely monitor distant locations and access videos from surveillance cameras directly from a mobile terminal.

"With the rise of connected mobile devices in the last decade, mobile surveillance has become an essential element of comprehensive security. The new version offers an easier-to-use interface that optimizes remote monitoring”, explains Steve Ma, Vivotek executive vice president.

iViewer allows you to access live images from hundreds of cameras, accessible through vast professional centralized management software, the free ST7501 and NVR video management program.

Users can also connect via individual cameras using an IP address or with an IP browser.

Vivotek has also introduced new advanced features in this new version as its most convenient interface, the My Favorites menu, an introductory tutorial and multiple ways to add devices by manual connection and by local network search.
