When a company joins the platform, the goal is for compatible devices to be able to communicate with each other through different networks such as WiFi or ZigBee, as well as other wired connections like KNX. It is at this moment, when customers will be able to manage all devices and create an Internet link with cloud-based services. And this can be done, regardless of the manufacturer.
The initiative that Cisco and its partners ABB, Bosch and LG have started offers great potential for companies attending ISE. “Although the emphasis is on promoting interoperability in smart homes, it is clear that this initiative will have applications in commercial buildings, so it is a perfect topic for an environment like the one we are in, Integrated Systems Europe”, explica Mike Blackman, managing director de Integrated Systems Events.
