Iomega partners with Anixter for the distribution of its video surveillance solutions

Iomega, developer of data storage solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, and Anixter, provider of electrical wiring products, networking, communication and security, have joined forces to bring Iomega's network storage products to the growing video security surveillance market for SMEs and distributed businesses in the EMEA region.

Iomega International, subsidiary of Iomega Corporation, has announced the addition of a new distribution partner, Anixter, to meet video security surveillance needs in areas of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Anixter cuenta con una gran experiencia técnica en la gestión de la cadena de suministro como distribuidor de servicios complementarios en apoyo de los integradores de sistemas de seguridad, y ahora se unirá a Iomega para llevar sus productos de almacenamiento en red StorCenter a los mercados de la videovigilancia para las PYME y empresas distribuidas.

Iomega StorCenter network storage devices

The Iomega network storage products that will be offered in the video surveillance network storage solutions include the Iomega StorCenter ix2-200 Cloud Edition two-disk desktop unit, which comes with a network storage capacity of up to 6 TB; the Iomega StorCenter ix4-200d Cloud Edition four-disk desktop unit, with up to 12 TB de capacidad de almacenamiento; and the new Iomega StorCenter px4-300d and px6-300d six- and four-disk desktop models, available in diskless, partially configured, and up to 18 TB de almacenamiento. There are also rackmount models (rackmount) that offer a storage capacity of up to 36 TB.

All Iomega StorCenter NAS devices use the acclaimed EMC LifeLine software, a fully Linux-developed operating environment compatible with video surveillance management solutions such as Axis’s Video Hosting System (AVHS, Video Hosting Service), jointly developed by Iomega and Axis Communications.
