Sony presented at IFSEC 2012 new analog cameras with IR functions and new hybrid solutions
Sony has taken advantage of the IFSEC security fair 2012 the Birmingham (Great Britain) to make known 15 new models of analog infrared cameras, with additions to the Y series, CM y CB, as well as 5 new hybrid video cameras, and two Full HD monitors with the aim of offering customers the integration of the most advanced technology of Sony displays with their existing security systems.
Sony has added fifteen new models of analog cameras to its catalog, offering improved color reproduction and infrared functions, achieving optimal performance, regardless of lighting conditions, indoors and outdoors. The new Sony cameras incorporate Adaptive IR Control that automatically adjusts the image to avoid overexposure and create greater uniformity throughout the frame. The eight YM and YB series cylindrical and dome IR cameras offer a variety of resolutions and fixed focal lengths suitable for a wide range of applications. The seven cylindrical and dome cameras in the CM and CB series add 3x varifocal capabilities and offer an optimal fixed angle of view for indoor and outdoor use.
according to Yun, Strategic Marketing Manager for Video Surveillance at Sony Europe: “Sony's new range of analogue cameras are suitable for a wide range of customer needs. Sony's Adaptive IR Control technology provides exceptional visibility, regardless of lighting conditions. This means the cameras work just as well during the day, at night or in other low-light environments. Besides, all provided as one easy to install operating unit, use and maintain.”
SerieYM/YB
The new SSC-YM401R cameras, SSC-YM411R, SSC-YB401R and SSC-YB411R incorporate the new Day/Night function (D/N) double pass with high performance at an affordable price. Dual-pass Day/Night technology goes beyond the capabilities of typical electric D/N functions, thanks to the transmission of visible and infrared frequencies. During the day, IR transmission is cut off for more accurate color reproduction. At night, Infrared transmission is accentuated to increase sensitivity. All cameras have a resolution of 540 TV lines.
SSC-YM501R cameras, SSC-YM511R, SSC-YB501R and SSC-YB511R provide exceptional image quality, with a resolution of 650 TV lines and real Day/Night function. The real Day/Night function, also known as infrared disable, provides optimal performance, both day and night. In the light of day, Infrared filter eliminates infrared wavelengths for faithful color reproduction. Overnight, The infrared filter is removed to allow most of the IR light to reach the sensor. The Sony SSC-YB401R and SSC-YB411R box cameras provide a resolution of 540 TV lines, Day/Night functions and an IR LED with an effective range of five meters, so they are perfect for security in small spaces. In addition, the SSC-YB501R and SSC-YB511R box format cameras have a resolution of 650 TV lines and an IR LED with an effective range of 10 metros.
CM Series
The new CM series of varifocal domes, SSC-CM461R, SSC-CM561R y SSC-CM565R, They have a real Day/Night function. The SSC-CM461R provides a resolution of 540 TV lines, while the SSC-CM561R and SSC-CM565R operate at resolutions of 650 o 700 TV lines. They differ in that the latest model has a resistant casing for outdoor use.
Serie CB
The SSC-CB565R and SSC-CB575R fixed-angle cylindrical cameras offer a resolution of 700 TV lines with IR and real Day/Night functions. The SSC-CB565R features a 3x varifocal lens 2,8-10,5 mm, while the SSC-CB575R has a varifocal lens of 9-22 mm.
The SSC-CB561R cylindrical camera offers a variable resolution of 650 TV lines in normal mode and 700 TV lines in sharp mode, while the SSC-CB461R offers a resolution of 540 TV lines. Both cameras include an IR LED with an effective range of 16 metros, perfect for monitoring large spaces.
Innovative hybrid solutions
And IFSEC 2012, Sony has also shown its hybrid video surveillance camera solutions, the first network cameras capable of transmitting simultaneously, both in high definition (HD) as in an analogue way, using a single existing coaxial cable. Sony's hybrid camera range is the only one to offer IP/HD transmissions over CCTV analogue coaxial network cable at distances up to 300 m, offering a perfect migration system for users looking to transition to HD. Supporting the industry standard ONVIF protocol, Sony hybrid cameras allow you to work with any of the VMS and PSIM solutions compatible with said protocol. Customers will have the freedom to choose their preferred VMS solution.
Sony's hybrid technology will offer customers who have a large number of analog equipment, such as those of municipal and transportation surveillance systems, a migration solution to high definition.
And IFSEC 2012, Sony has introduced five new HD cameras (720p) hybrids:
• The SNC-ZB550 fixed angle camera with HD image resolution
• SNC-ZM550/551 mini dome cameras with HD image resolution
• SNC-ZP550/ZR550 PTZ cameras with HD image resolution
High definition security monitors
To complement the range of Full HD security cameras, Sony has also presented the SSM-L24F1 and SSM-L22F1 HD LCD monitors. These new screens, Developed specifically for security applications, set up a complete Sony security system. The SSM-LS4F1 model is a 24" Full HD widescreen″, while SSM-L22F1 is a 21.5 Full HD widescreen″.
Both monitors work perfectly with Sony hybrid cameras, providing a complete high definition video surveillance solution. The monitors also have a built-in analog input for easy migration to HD and work with both formats., without having to use any additional decoder. Besides, They have HDMI and CVBS input options (BNC) and the new ISM technology (Image Sticking Minimisation) from Sony that prevents damage to the panel when used continuously.
Yu Kitamura has pointed out: “Sony is the only solutions provider currently offering encoders, cameras and recorders for migration to HD. Sony hybrid solutions provide a cost-effective and flexible migration path for customers looking to switch from analog to HD.. We want to facilitate our clients' gradual transition to HD, saving them a large outlay to replace their security systems in a single operation. The SSM-L24F1 and SSM LS4F1 are important additions to our range of HD security monitors and ensure that we can offer large HD panels alongside other desktop HD panels and meet the needs of our customers.”
