Drug trafficking surveillance units at Chile's borders have begun to use the Spanish company's video analysis system A.5 Security. The system has been installed on board border patrol vehicles, due to the ease of configuration of the analysis system that allows the border police to frequently change the location of vehicles.

Video analysis algorithms developed by A.5 Security from 2004 have reached a high level of accuracy, especially in thermal imaging, allowing the detection of people and vehicles over long distances. This system is already being used for the monitoring of numerous fish farm facilities in southern Chile, allowing the control of large land or sea areas with a small number of cameras.

A.5 Security's Advanced system uses the camera's turning motors to perform video analysis detection at each pre-position, reaching up to 360° of vision (2 Km2 by camera). The system is complemented by local and/or remote monitoring platforms A-50 Visor, usando múltiples tipos de comunicaciones incluidos los enlaces vía satélite.
