Imperia optimizes its urban security with Dallmeier video technology

'One of the main requirements of the system was to be able to reconstruct events of interest with high reliability and resolution', states Daniele Sisinio, director of Dallmeier Italia, explaining the client's requirements.

Imperia has been using video surveillance technology for many years. The original system was based on a system for a marina with numerous cameras from different manufacturers, which were eventually integrated into a Dallmeier management system. Subsequently, the surveillance systems of the marina and the city were unified. As a result, not only were additional cameras from other manufacturers integrated into the management system, but a selection of state-of-the-art Dallmeier cameras was also incorporated into the infrastructure.

In addition to numerous single-sensor cameras, the Dallmeier Panomera multifocal technology is the foundation of the system. This offers numerous advantages, especially when monitoring large areas or long distances.

They supported them during the planning phase and on-site demonstrations to ensure that the solution suited the client's needs. The use of the video surveillance system is yielding positive results. “By installing the cameras at various strategic points, such as the roads and access routes to the marina and the city of Imperia, we have managed to steadily reduce the incidence of critical incidents”, states Claudio Scajola, mayor of Imperia.
