After nearly fourteen years of construction, Berlin's new airport (Ber) is located in the German federal state of Brandenburg, on the southern border of the country's capital, to provide a new airport service already operational.

Azkoyen Group, Spanish technology multinational based in Navarra, has been selected to design and install BER's access control systems, who has made its subsidiary primion, a benchmark in this type of technology, time and security record in Europe.

With a large presence in Germany, primion has developed access control projects at other Berlin airports, like Tegel's, at the Schonefeld, and now in the new BER.

In addition, have been integrated into the system 55 biometric readers who control all access at the transition points between land and air. WebAccess software is used to manage the access rights of 80.000 people for BER, Tegel and Schonefeld in a unified system.

As Jorge Pons points out, CEO of the Time division & Azkoyen Group Security, "our strength lies in creating integrated ad hoc access control solutions for each of our customers, to ensure user safety and management efficiency. Berlin is a significant scenario for us, as we have been designing and manufacturing safety solutions in Germany for over twenty-five years".
