The AeroCovid beach surveillance system is based on the equipment of the drone specialist Aerocámaras and on the artificial intelligence algorithm (IA) developed by the Technological Institute of Galicia (ITG), integrated into these unmanned aerial vehicles to collect real-time information on the number of people in a specific outdoor public space, in this case on a beach, such as the physical distance between them in a space.

The results provided by AeroCovid in counting and measurement have an accuracy of more than 90%, according to the data from this Galician company, based in the municipality of Lalín (Pontevedra), which allows guaranteeing safety standards and avoiding crowds that do not promote virus transmission during the de-escalation process and the return to normality.

blankThe drone company also guarantees people's privacy, since the images are blurred when processing the information, as well as the confidentiality of the data, ya que la aplicación de esta solución de vigilancia por parte de ayuntamientos y fuerzas de seguridad se utiliza para evitar propagaciones y cumplir la normativa de protección.
