Bosch and the Seville Chamber of Commerce are committed to intelligent security systems

Este convenio de colaboración contempla el desarrollo y la promoción de una nueva certificación de técnicos e instalaciones.

A través del programa Garantía Cámara, the Cámara de Comercio de Sevilla ha presentado una nueva familia de certificaciones relacionadas con la seguridad inteligente (SI): SI-Eventos, SI-Edificios, SI-Industria y Técnico homologado en Sistemas inteligentes de seguridad. Que prevé su implantación a nivel nacional mediante la adhesión de otras Cámaras de Comercio de España.

For this, ha firmado un convenio de colaboración con Bosch Security & Safety Systems que tiene por objeto el desarrollo y promoción de un Referencial (norma de aplicación que incluye requisitos técnicos, legislativos, operativos, etc., a possible guide of good practices and the scoring of results constitutive of the standard) for the Certification of Intelligent Security Systems, to promote the use of state-of-the-art technological solutions in the field of security and the protection of lives and property.

The signing took place at the House of the Chamber, with Francisco Herrero León, president of the Chamber of Seville, and Jeroen Christiaan Dickhoff, general director of Bosch Security & Safety Systems Iberia (both in the attached image).

The provision of security measures in spaces where there may be a high density of occupancy, or where there is any risk to people or property, it is an increasingly demanded necessity by public and private entities related to the management of such spaces, whether permanent facilities such as administrative use buildings, public residential, hospital, educational, commercial, etc; or of a temporary nature such as public shows and recreational activities outdoors or in specially equipped venues.

Given the complexity of the subject and its possible impact on people's safety, Garantía Cámara has developed different reference frameworks related to intelligent security systems with the aim of establishing, in the form of requirements, the technical specifications that an organization must consider to carry out its activity safely. En concreto se han desarrollado los siguientes referenciales:

SI-Eventos: aplicado a la gestión de la seguridad inteligente en espectáculos públicos y actividades recreativas.
SI-Edificios: aplicado a la gestión de la seguridad inteligente en edificaciones o inmuebles.
SI-Industria: aplicado a la gestión de la seguridad inteligente en
actividades industriales.

Para cumplir con dichas exigencias, los técnicos responsables del diseño, implantación y supervisión de las medidas de seguridad en este tipo de instalaciones deben estar formados y capacitados para aplicar las diferentes soluciones tecnológicas, presentes y futuras, que existen en el mercado y que se conocen como sistemas inteligentes de seguridad.

Bosch will make available to companies and institutions that wish to certify their installations, as well as to technicians who have obtained their certification, all its experience, together with that of its partners, allies and collaborators, in the design, implementation and maintenance of advanced security solutions.

These include access control systems; capacity control systems; intelligent video systems; fire detection systems; voice evacuation systems; theft or intrusion detection systems, and unified management platforms.

La experiencia de Bosch en la protección de edificios e instalaciones industriales está basada en la implantación de miles de sistemas de seguridad en entornos tan exigentes como puertos, airports, tunnels, infraestructuras ferroviarias y de transporte por carretera, edificios administrativos, shopping centers, palacios de congresos y ciudades inteligentes.

En relación a la gestión de la seguridad en eventos de masas, una de las referencias más valoradas es la Semana Santa de Sevilla (more details in Digital Security), donde se concentran miles de visitantes en el centro histórico de la ciudad al paso de las hermandades que hacen penitencia desde su templo hasta la Catedral.

La alta concentración de personas, combined with the city's architecture in this area (narrow streets with corners) increases the risk of stampedes due to false alarms caused by falling metal objects, screams or running of groups of people, which on many occasions have been deliberate.

This has caused situations of collective panic in recent years that have resulted in stampedes and people being crushed, disruption of the procession and damage to the images and numerous material damages, in addition to creating a negative image of this event, which is a tourist attraction for the city.

He Ayuntamiento de Sevilla, in collaboration with Bosch, has deployed tools that allow it to understand, in real time, what the flows of people accessing the center are like, the level of occupancy of the different sections of the route, possible crowding on evacuation routes, control de aforos virtuales, the start of races or stampedes, la detección de vehículos en zonas peatonales o aparcados incorrectamente en zonas de evacuación, así como el análisis de ruidos críticos.

With this information, el visionado en directo de las cámaras y la permanente comunicación a la Policía los responsables del Centro de Coordinación de Emergencias (CECOP) pueden enviar mensajes en directo a la población a través de megafonía y redes sociales, actuar sobre el alumbrado público, llevándolo a máxima intensidad, o activar la intervención de la Policía.
