SICUR 2018 opens its doors to its most international and innovative edition

El ministro de Interior, Juan Ignacio Zoido, ha inaugurado hoy en Madrid la 21º edición del Salón Internacional de la Seguridad, SICUR 2018, considerada como la más creciente en oferta y participación de su trayectoria.

Feria de Madrid ha abierto hoy sus puertas para celebrar SICUR 2018, donde más de 1.400 empresas que representan todos los segmentos de la industria de seguridad muestran, hasta el próximo 23 de febrero sus avances, solutions and services, que ha contado con la inauguración oficial del ministro de Interior, Juan Ignacio Zoido.

La 21ª edición de este certamen bienal, que ocupa los pabellos 4, 6, 8 y 10 of IFEMA, ha sido considerada como la “más creciente de su trayectoria y una de las más representativas” por su amplia variedad de propuestas, national and international, del sector de la seguridad integral en los tres grandes segmentos en los que se estructura: Security y Defensa; Seguridad Contra Incendios-Emergencias, and Occupational Safety, which have their maximum expression in innovation in the Gallery of new products.

According to the data provided by the organization, SICUR 2018 it will be the most international and innovative edition, with the participation of 640 companies, and 11% more than in 2016, across an area that adds to the growth of the 24% experienced in its previous edition, an increase of 13%, in addition to an increase of 38 of the international presence, which represents in this edition the 28% of the participation.

This line of business growth, internationalization and offer of novelties is also reflected in new activities and programming, as announced Digital Security, with the incorporation of SICUR Cyber, un espacio que ofrece a empresas y profesionales un punto de encuentro para analizar los retos y amenazas en materia de ciberseguridad y conocer soluciones y tecnologías a través de expertos que forman parte de su programa de conferencias, debates and workshops.

Specifically, este programa, que tiene lugar en sesiones de mañana durante los cuatro días del certamen, está organizado por ISMS Forum, la Asociación Española para el Fomento de la Seguridad de la Información, con el patrocinio de Fundación Mapfre, Sophos, Symantec y Forcepoint.

Como en ediciones anteriores, otro referente para analizar las tendencias del sector y participar en más de veinte jornadas técnicas es Foro SICUR, where professionals can learn about the latest regulations regarding fire protection; occupational health updates, as well as how to act in emergency situations with different challenges, and presentations focused on the new challenges of terrorism from the perspective of emergencies and security measures, with representatives from these critical services in London, Barcelona, and Madrid.

For the first time and coinciding with the celebration of SICUR, professionals can also attend the International Exhibition of Doors and Automation, Smart Doors, which in its first edition is showcasing these days the latest technologies applied to fire doors, automatic, etc.
