Equifax presenta su modelo de gobierno y gestión de seguridad de la información

La compañía de información crediticia Equifax ha desarrollado un modelo de gobierno y gestión de seguridad de la información para formar a empresas y empleados que quieran ejecutar proyectos de Security Awareness y evitar los riesgos informáticos y el fraude.

El incremento de la ciberdelincuencia está obligando a las empresas a aumentar sus inversiones para protegerse con herramientas de gestión y tecnológicas, assures Equifax, compañía de soluciones de información crediticia sobre empresas y consumidores.

Cybercrimes are multiplying exponentially, and it is estimated that more than half of the companies in Spain have been victims of fraud in recent years. Despite these figures, usually, training and awareness in information security for staff are not among the companies' prevention policies.

Equifax has developed a model for the governance and management of information security capable of managing information of more than 600 millions of consumers and 81 millions of companies worldwide.

The human factor is a common source of security incidents in companies, therefore, good staff training helps reduce threats in organizations. Como explica Eduardo Garcia, Iberia Equifax Information Security Officer, “cualquier empresa que quiera ejecutar un proyecto global de Security Awareness lo primero que debe tener en cuenta es que una vez que comienza el proyecto, éste nunca acaba. Hay que mantener un ritmo de formación y de actualización de contenidos constante, ya que el ciclo de obsolescencia y aparición de nuevas amenazas es abrumador”.

This global information security management and governance framework has made the company currently the only credit bureau management company that has this security certification.
