Valencia City Council, through the Citizens Security Council, has awarded the video surveillance and communication system of the Turia River channel to the UTE formed by Electronica Trafic and Etralux, composed of fifteen chambers (fixed and domes), four license plate recognition systems and four SOS intercom poles.

The award of the project, By 533.200 Euros, UTE made up of two UTE companies from the Etra Group (Electronics Trafic and Etralux), the only ones who showed up for the competition Valencia City Council to deploy the video surveillance and voice communication system in the Turia River Garden, consists of seven fixed chambers and eight domes in high definition, license plate recognition software and four intercom poles for emergencies.

These video surveillance systems will be deployed throughout the 10,4 Km. covering the nine sections in which the Turia riverbed is divided, from The Head Park to the City of Arts and Sciences, where gardens are located, sports facilities and access to public services.

Etra Security Group Local Police ValenciaThe project, started in the year 2009 by the City Security Council of the City of Valencia, has suffered continuous delays in its award and modifications to its installation, as it is an area with heritage elements, large concentration of people and protected wooded areas, which has now been approved in order to also reduce vandalism and crime.

Work for the installation of the video surveillance system will begin shortly with the opening of ditches for the deployment of the 10.000 meters of fiber optic cable to which network video surveillance cameras will connect, that will be placed on existing poles and streetlights; with license plate recognition software on channel accesses and intercom poles.

The new system will be managed and monitored from the control center located at the headquarters of the Local Police of Valencia, specifically in the data processing center (Cpd), and the recorded images will be stored for one month.
