Human Recognition Systems helped protect the Olympic Park with the MSite biometric solution

The British biometric firm Human Recognition Systems (HRS) has played a key role in ensuring security in the construction of the Olympic Park and the Olympic Village for the London Games 2012 through MSite, a biometric identity management and access control platform.

Combining the latest advances in biometric identification, card encryption and cloud-based technology, Human Recognition Systems ha suministrado una solución completa de gestión de identidad y de control de acceso para la protección de la construcción del Parque Olímpico y la Villa Olímpica de los Juegos de Londres 2012. La implementación de esta solución a gran escala, teniendo un entorno en constante cambio, fue un desafío importante que requirió de MSite funcionar a unos niveles de seguridad y escala nunca antes vistos. Esto permitió a la plataforma MSite evolucionar y brindar nuevas características a los clientes de alto perfil del sector de la construcción, tales como Lend Lease, BAM y Carillion.

The MSite smart card contained hand geometry and iris recognition templates for identification purposes on a single smart card. The large-scale project was flexible, as the construction scope constantly varied and yet, the system consistently maintained its high levels of security, processing more than 30 millions of transactions per day with 81.000 people registered in the system. This has positioned MSite as one of the most important biometric systems and security management platforms in the world.
