The multispectral imaging camera (MSI) SpectroCam Ocean Thin Films (OTF) is now available with powerful analysis software that offers the user dozens of image processing options and allows you to view the results in moving images. Applications include water quality measurements, product screening, machine vision, medical diagnostic imaging, surveillance and authentication.

SpectroCam is the first fully configurable MSI camera. Its broadband imaging sensor ranges from visible spectrum to near-infrared spectrum. Precision filters and imaging optics can be customized to serve a wide variety of applications, with image rates up to 30 fps at full resolution. Images can be captured and saved with eight different filters at a rate of three image stacks per second. Optical filters can be easily changed in the field and can be manufactured to end-user specifications, with different band pass filters and edge filters. By selecting different filters in various spectral zones with the most significant differences, SpectroCam creates images that show vivid contrast undetectable to the human eye.

Simple and intuitive interface

SpectroCam's new analysis software incorporates a simple and intuitive graphical interface that allows users to quickly perform a variety of image processing and analysis functions. Results can be viewed as real-time images or saved in a variety of image file formats. Processing software is a powerful tool for getting maximum MSI information and can even create colored NIR images.

In addition, the analysis part of the software provides real-time quantitative information on image intensity as a spectral wavelength function for a user-defined image area or cross-section of the image. Standard F-Mount lens configuration fits a wide variety of lenses, focal lengths and fields of view. The SpectroCam can also be easily mounted on a variety of imaging equipment, such as microscopes and endoscopes. New image processing software allows users to perform dozens of calculations, real-time image manipulations and measurements to optimize MSI results. SpectroCam puts multispectral imaging within everyone's reach, from university researchers to high-volume OEMs.

Interchangeable optical filters and continuously rotating optical filter wheel overcome many of the drawbacks of MSI systems with prismatic and adjustable filters. With interchangeable filters, users can try different options until they find the best contrast, greatly reducing development time and allowing users to market products faster. The SpectroCam platform is easily integrated into various FEO systems and can be modified to fit specific mechanical and environmental needs.
