blankDVTel has announced the launch of a video management system with open standards, the Solus Appliance. It is an integrated server with a storage solution, designed for small and medium-sized businesses (SME) for monitoring up to 32 cameras. The Solus device is a hardware and software solution that comes pre-installed and pre-configured and offers the capabilities of DVTel's Latitude VMS system without the complexity and cost of an enterprise-level solution.

This plug-and-play system offers SMBs a cost-effective mid-range solution, with the flexibility to view, record and export audio and video in multiple compressions (H.264, MPEG4, MJPEG). Supports up to 32 camera connections and the RAID 5 provides greater input/output data performance reliability, as data can be split and replicated across multiple physical drives.

Dan Hochberg, Vice President of Corporate Sales at DVTel, has manifested: The Solus device is part of a wide range of IP video surveillance solutions that will be presented this year by DVTel. It aligns with our strategy for SMEs for surveillance systems with competitive prices, very effective, without the complexity and cost of a business solution”.
