Bosch Security Systems is leveraging the platform represented by ISE to showcase its latest products in the PA/VA sectors, conferences and speakers, as well as to present Omneo, its new media network architecture.

blankBosch Security Systems presented at the ISE fair 2012 Omneo, its media network architecture that has a transport protocol suite that offers low-latency, high-quality multi-channel media exchange. The system also features a robust control protocol suite that provides a reliable and secure control system for communication networks of all sizes, from small to intercontinental.

Omneo's program transport component is the result of an alliance between Bosch Security Systems and Audinate Pty. Omneo uses Audinate's Dante networking technology to provide standards-based routable IP media transport. The Omneo control system component is an open source development descending from the Audio Engineering Society's AES-24 architecture protocol. Called OCA, for open control architecture, includes many flexibility features, Reliability, Security, and year-compatible growth. OCA is being prepared as a standard open to the public by the OCA Alliance, Bosch Security Systems is a member of.

Other Bosch highlights include demonstrations of voice alarm systems, the Full Voice Alarm System, the all-digital Praesideo public voice emergency sound system, and the integrated ProAudio Promatrix public voice evacuation system 8000.

Bosch's new LC4 wide-angle ceiling speakers, which feature a large opening angle for good coverage and wide frequency response, they're also at the company stand. To give customers an overview of Bosch's extensive speaker portfolio, as well as to inform them about the EN54 certification of the speakers, Bosch has developed a Speaker Selection Guide. In this tool, which is available in print and as an application, explain the different characteristics of all types of speakers and facilitate the process of choosing the right product.

For conferences, Bosch unveils new Central Control Unit (Ucc) for your DCN Next Generation system and DCN wireless systems. The new CCU allows both wired and wireless delegated units to be integrated into a single system. Each control unit is now able to control up to 245 wired devices and 245 wireless delegates. In addition, the CCU has been improved with the addition of several cost-saving features. Output power has been increased so you can handle more delegate units, reducing the need and cost of additional energy supplies needed for larger systems. The CCU can also be configured as a network controller, eliminating the need for a dedicated network controller, which is usually needed in large CCU multi-systems up to 4000 Delegates.

blankAutomatic activation

New functionality has been added to the DCN wireless discussion system. It currently has a voice activation mode, that allows microphones to turn on automatically once delegates start talking, allowing for a more spontaneous and open discussion. Other enhancements include AES Rijndael 128-bit AES encryption for DCN wireless DCN, offering optimal protection against espionage.

A new HD camera solution is also on display, for use with DCN conferencing solutions. Includes a specially designed HD conference dome camera with HD-SDI output for crisp, clear images. This new solution means that installers will no longer need to make the effort and expense of developing their own interface software and purchasing CCTV cameras from third parties.
