Securitas Direct PreSense gives rise to a new generation of alarms

Security Direct has launched PreSense a platform designed for a new generation of alarms, that integrates detection devices, artificial intelligence, Big Data, IoT and predictive models that detect possible intrusions and emergency situations earlier and better.

This technology allows the generation of data models that are used to predict risk levels in the event of an alarm going off.. In this way, the company provides an extra layer of protection, reducing detection and verification times to less than 20 seconds.

“The inclusion of predictive models and Artificial Intelligence, as well as intelligent analysis of recorded images in high definition, “It has allowed us to take a big step in terms of anticipation”, states Angel Piorno, R&D Director at Securitas Direct.

The generation of alarms housed in this new PreSense technology includes advanced detection devices such as photodetectors, that provide faster verification thanks to five times better high-resolution images or night vision with a powerful light source, to distinguish, even at night if it is an intruder or, For example, a pet, which avoids false alarms.

Besides, It has cameras with intelligent image analysis, continuous recording and cloud storage, which in addition to reinforcing security, provides a better experience to the user who can control the alarm system from anywhere to monitor everything that happens in the home or business from the smart mobile app.

“Our system obtains information through devices continuously, even in disarmed state, that allows data modeling of customer usage and applying predictive analysis. This way, usage patterns are generated, that are used when making an automatic decision to mitigate risks or activate the alarm.”, añade Piorno.

PreSense integrates IoT that allows all devices to be connected and have more agile connections with higher resolution: 4G mobile network, Internet (Wifi/Ethernet), ATN network and encrypted communication protocols that make it more secure against hacking attempts.

International project that begins in Spain

PreSense technology is the result of a project to which the company has dedicated several years of research and has been developed by a multidisciplinary team of 550 experts of 8 different markets.

For its development, Securitas Direct has developed pilot projects in Spain, France and the United Kingdom, in order to guarantee the excellence of the final product.
