The Sheraton Santa María Hotel in El Paular, one of the most secluded rural hotels, but also more prestigious, of this hotel chain, has invested in Sanyo video surveillance cameras to create a completely safe environment for its guests, and at the same time deter and detect possible intruders.
Located just one hour north of Madrid, immersed in the natural beauty of the Sierra de Guadarrama, in the heart of the Lozoya Valley, in the municipality of Rascafría, next to the 15th century monastery from which it takes its name, el Hotel Sheraton Santa María de El Paular ha recurrido a las cámaras de red Full HD de Sanyo to create a safe environment for the thousands of tourists who come to this area of the Sierra de Madrid every year.
The hotel's CCTV system had become obsolete since the analog cameras were not capable of delivering the quality images required by the hotel's security administration., in order to allow them to identify intruders, as well as the ability to read vehicle license plate numbers in order to identify their entry and exit and also maintain their record..
High definition cameras
To the company specialized in IP networks, Gesico, was asked to install new cameras that could meet the hotel's demanding needs. In addition to offering high resolution images, Another important requirement for the cameras was to be able to operate in adverse and diverse weather conditions due to the hotel being in an area that experiences both very hot and very cold weather conditions.. Gesico installed six Sanyo Full HD cameras to replace most of the existing analog cameras.

We have tested a large number of cameras from different manufacturers, but we were very impressed with the performance of the Sanyo HD camera. Being able to use cameras to zoom in and identify license plates was especially important to our customers., along with the clarity of the images. Both objectives are being achieved with Sanyo cameras, even in low light conditions. Some of the analogue cameras remain installed but will be replaced in the next phase of the CCTV system upgrade with more Sanyo cameras.”
