Fuerteventura Airport, located in the Canary Islands, has significant international traffic and experienced in 2016 higher passenger growth than 12%. Its more than five and a half million users place it as the eleventh in Spain by traffic and it has 66 check-in desks and 24 gates.

The terminal was completely remodeled in 2008 and from the beginning of the works Vitelsa Security and Control has carried out various projects to supply and integrate video surveillance and access control systems. Subsequently, the company has continued to provide technical services at the airport, having recently won the public competition for the provision of technical maintenance services for security systems, access control and voice and radio communications at Fuerteventura airport.

The new service contract provides for the preventive and corrective maintenance of IP video surveillance systems present in the terminal, runways and other airport venues, as well as the access lathes to the boarding areas and anti-return corridors located in the arrivals area.

Additionally, the contract also provides for the provision of specialized preventive and corrective maintenance services for telephone and radio communications systems installed in the airport premises, used by operations and security personnel.
