This platform will be responsible for the management of surveillance systems, security and control of this infrastructure 1,6 Kilometers, being built in Chile, and will be integrated into the existing control center of the Chamisero tunnel 1.

Chamisero Tunnel

Indra is implementing its technology for the comprehensive management of the Chamisero tunnel 2, of the Northeast Highway Concessionaire, which is currently under construction. This project calls for the implementation of the security and traffic control systems of the new infrastructure 1,6 Kilometers, Of the Northeast Highway Concessionaire, in the existing control center of the Chamisero tunnel 1, which was also developed by Indra.

In this way, the company's knowledge and experience of this infrastructure is leveraged to enhance its functionalities, optimize resources and improve traffic control and safety.

As an infrastructure, the Chamisero II tunnel will feature modern safety and signaling elements, with four emergency connections, two of them inside the tunnels and one at each south and north exit. Emergency parking bays are also incorporated, lighting, Signaling, SOS poles, SGT, Ventilation, FIRE control system and CCTV.

Indra is implementing its Horus solution, a platform designed specifically for surveillance, security and traffic control in tunnels. It is a centralized management solution that integrates infrastructure control systems with Smart Traffic Systems (ITS), as variable signalling systems, traffic data capture, CCTV video monitoring (Cctv) and IP video, automatic incident detection, fire detection, ventilation control, Lighting, power supply and communications, network of relief poles, or public address and capture of environmental data.

In addition, the platform has the ability to incorporate any new system that the customer needs in the future, as this is an open solution, flexible and configurable.

Horus guarantees maximum operability, both in day-to-day management and in emergencies. Operators can control the state of the road at all times and have real-time information for decision-making, as well as a reporting tool.

The high level of automation of operations facilitates the fast and accurate management of everything that happens in the tunnel. For example, the video surveillance system with automatic incident detection, based on artificial vision, alerts operators in the event that an object falls on the track, there's smoke in the tunnel, a vehicle circulates in the opposite direction or any other setback that may jeopardize road traffic or safety.

This facilitates the immediate reaction of operators, who can take the necessary steps to deal with the situation, As, For example, allow vehicles to travel bidirectionally on a single carriageway if necessary, without interrupting circulation.

Horus, In addition, meets the highest safety and quality standards set for tunnels on the trans-European road network, Eurocode.
