Christie has developed a firmware update to its Phoenix content management system by providing new modes of operational security, making it ideal for both standard environments and strict security applications.

blankThe version 1.5 integrates directly with video management software (Vms) over open platform IP Milestone Xprotect. Phoenix gets camera data in H.264 format directly from the recording server. From that moment on, automated videowall control starts from XProtect event server.

Christie Phoenix integrates with XProtect, creating a unified solution for video management and operations in the control rooms.

Firmware update enables two new operating modes: standard and strict security. Most users will opt for the standard security mode, while strict security mode is perfect in high-security environments.

blankAs Karl Johnson explains, Christie's Senior Product Manager, "Phoenix content management systems provide security aspects including strong-level password management, encrypted connections, system configuration and recorded data, and system monitoring and threat notifications. The introduction of this firmware update ensures the support of a strong and secure foundation with which to offer our Christie Phoenix customers the best critical system monitoring system".

Christie Phoenix ensures client systems meet NERC/CIP standards. Sectors as varied as utilities, security and surveillance or transport and telecommunications benefit from the security aspects offered by Christie Phoenix.
