The resulting solution to this fusion of technologies is already being implemented in a publishing company in the Netherlands.

Milestone Systems And Nedap have signed a strategic alliance to integrate the VMS XProtect solution with the Aeos access control system. The use of open platform technology has been instrumental in integrating these two solutions.

“The best in video management and access control will be combined into a robust and seamless security solution. We are committed to developing a deep integration between our platform and XProtect", explains Sieger Volkers, Managing Director Security Management at Nedap.

Milestone XprotectThe factor that has enabled an easy and flexible security solution is in the Nedap Aeos and Milestone Integration Platform Software Development Kit capabilities (MIP SDK) 2016. Both XProtect Smart Client and AEOS provide a consolidated interface with features to effectively handle access events.

The fruit of this alliance has already been reflected in the project that is being carried out in a Dutch publishing company.

Milestone Xprotect“The customer wanted to see the events of their Aeos access control system in a powerful video management system. They wanted to harness the power of Aeos' open platform and work with a single database. So procedures and processes are defined only once and there are no duplicates”, explains Kim te Kaat, Business Development Manager, Nedap Security Management in The Netherlands.

As your access control integrates with your human resources database, AEOS reduces the possibility of manual errors and offers them a time saving of almost the 30%. “Now they also have access to Milestone XProtect's wide range of video management capabilities", add Kim te Kaat.

The integration was carried out through Nedap and Milestone's partner, Voskamp Beveiligingstechniek. “Because of the strategic partnership between Nedap and Milestone we could offer a large solution, profitable for our customers”, says Michiel de Graaf, Manager S&Or Voskamp's.
