FLIR Systems It has completed the acquisition of the company Point Grey Research by 259 million.
Founded in 1997 based in Richmond (British Columbia), Point Grey focuses its activity on the development of cameras and solutions for industrial automation systems, medical diagnostic equipment, traffic control and counting in the military environment and defense applications. It designs and manufactures cameras and software to improve the efficiency, quality, analysis and security of a wide range of processes and products.

With this acquisition, FLIR will enhance its OEM business with a broad portfolio of cameras and machine vision systems, While Point Grey solutions will benefit from the first temperature sensor technology to increase its reach to new markets. The business is will incorporate to the line Integrated Imaging Solutions of Flir that focuses its activity in the market OEM and emerging of the company.
