Manufacturer Hikvision has contributed not only to the safety of the women's pre-Olympic water polo qualifying tournament for Rio 2016, recently held in the Dutch city of Gouda, with the donation of a system of high-definition network cameras that were used for live video streaming.

The women's water polo championship to qualify for the Rio De Janeiro Olympics 2016, recently held at the headquarters of Dutch club Donk Gouda has had the technological contribution of Hikvision, you've donated network cameras with HD resolution to capture video images that were shown streaming live for more than 42 matches played during the eight days of competition by the top twelve women's teams in the world.

The IP cameras of the DS-2DF8236IV-AEL models have been used for this project, two-megapixel, Ultra WDR Smart PTZ technology and 36X optical zoom, that have been used to capture images for live streaming, as well as DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZ, with Full HD resolution, Low Light Smart Bullet with slow shutter and 3D DNR.

Hikvision DS-2DF8236IV-AELThe video surveillance solution was completed with video management software (Vms) and network recorders from the manufacturer, which also made it easier for coaches and trainers of the respective teams to review the plays, store party data and even send vital performance information to athletes.

For the general manager of the club GZC Donk, Hein Megens, "The Hikvision surveillance system provides a great opportunity to promote the championship to a much wider audience. Water polo is a popular sport all over the world, and a lot of people have applauded being able to see the action live during the tournament.".

RTVE water polo spainFor this purpose, four control points were installed for the management and recording of the Hikvision IP camera system, with reproduction of the live images on a digital screen located in the cafeteria of the enclosure.

As Arno Tromp has pointed out, Product Manager of Hikvision Europe, "our cameras provide perfect action images, even in complex and difficult environments such as those of a swimming pool. With such a successful result, the tournament has generated interest around the world and has contributed to Hikvision cameras being able to be specified to capture sporting action at other events".
