Panasonic Cameramanager: flexible and cost-effective cloud security for universities

The HU University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht, one of the most important higher education institutions in the Netherlands, has a more flexible network security system, profitable and agile on your new campus, thanks to the management offered by Panasonic's Cameramanager cloud security software.

HU University of Applied Sciences, Utrecht (Holland), one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in the Netherlands, with more than 36.000 students from a hundred different nationalities enrolled, has as its main axes of its methodology to foster innovation, promote standards in professional practice and talent development through high-quality education and research.

In this sense, collaboration between the University of Applied Sciences and Cameramanager begins when this solution is installed where a new campus was to be built. A video signal was transmitted through a website for teachers to, students and employees could track the progress of the works at all times through the screens distributed throughout the center.

Access to all cameras from anywhere

Once completed, this academic institution used Cameramanager during its accommodation campaign, in order to publicize the different areas of the new campus and allow students to interact with each other. Ten IP cameras were installed at different locations.

Currently, HU University of Applied Sciences uses Cameramanager to protect the exterior of buildings and several indoor campus rooms, and the goal of its leaders is to deploy this video surveillance solution in the cloud in all the locations where this university is distributed, to create an environment without on-premises servers or recorders by location and have access to all cameras from anywhere from the same application and dashboard.
